I Am Not A Superwoman

I’d have to say that the past two weeks have been quite relaxing.

My husband, was out of the country for work. I hate to admit but when he’s gone, I get to relax.

The laundry isn’t quite done…..the floors not quite swept.

I don’t have to cook for him.

Less work.

So while I missed him terribly, I enjoyed not stressing about a clean house AND dinner.

I got to work at my own pace and slack off just a bit.

It’s a good thing too because while he was gone I had to become the project manager for our new home build. If you don’t know, I’m building a new house and I’m over the moon excited about it.

There I was, speaking Hebrew with contractors who were running pipes, electricity, drilling holes, and laying tiles.

Everyday I showed up, managed the workers, got people whatever they needed and proceeded to run two other businesses AND a household with four children.

How in the hell I did this I don’t know.

I am NOT superwoman. I am a busy woman, but not superwoman.

I let go of a lot of things when life gets this busy.

One of my favorite lines is “if it’s not on fire, it’s not getting done”.

That’s basically how I’ve been living for the past two weeks. The only thing that saved me was the support from my virtual assistant.

If it weren’t for her, I would be completely in the weeds.

I would say to myself “Thank g-d for her, I would be a complete mess if I didn’t have the support of my virtual assistant”.

But what if YOU get into the weeds. YOU the virtual assistant?

Who is going to support you?

If you don’t have another virtual assistant “friend” that you can lean on in case you need support, go out and make some friends.

Being able to take time off right smack dab of a huge project because of illness, for example, means everything.

It’s kind of like when I needed support during the two week period when my husband was out of town and all of a sudden I’ve got ANOTHER full time job running the new house build. This was NOT expected and I had to make up the time for it.

I had to either pay for this lost time with my own time OR I could work with my virtual assistant and delegate things that I normally don’t delegate but now I had to.

That’s why virtual assistants are critical for the success of any online business. I know I can’t live without mine.

Tell me what you think business owners need to help them maintain a stress free life as much as possible. I’d love to hear about it.

Hit comment and let me know. I read every comment.

Reese
