Should I Have A Blog On My Virtual Assistant Business Website?

Your blog is a marketing tool for your business and I will even say that your blog is your most important inbound marketing tool you’ve got.  By writing a blog, you are able to start conversations on timely subjects that will engage your prospects and increase website traffic.

Let’s talk about what happens when a visitor lands on your site.  They will read your home page, services and read some of your (hopefully not yawn-inducing) testimonials.

Your blog allows prospects to learn  more about you than those static web pages mentioned above.  They will see that you are filled with a wealth of information about a variety of subjects like social media, online marketing, transcriptions, etc.   They also get a better understanding of what you’re about and who you are.

Below I’ve recorded an audio for you to listen to about why blogging is so important and my secrets for finding great blog topics at your fingertips!

Do you have a blog for your virtual assistant website?  What do you blog about?   If you don’t have a blog are you going to start one after reading/listening to this blog post?

Rock on,

Reese

  1. Hi Reese,Funny that you posted this. Just yesterday I was asking if people found blogs interesting or just annoying. I get what you’re saying though. My problem is that I don’t have any clients yet. I would like to target small business’ and start ups but I’m having difficulty finding topics they would be interested in. Can you help?

    1. I am in a similar situation. I found some PLR about coaching biz and the need for a VA and I just adapted it to fit my needs. It has helped bring more tragic to my site and hopefully some more clients to follow.

    2. Jessi, what about some software that would help small businesses? Start with doing a comparison on two types of services. This is a great start. For start-ups budget is a huge issue so you could write something about how to hire a virtual assistant on a start-up budget.

  2. Hi Reese, I often come up with (what I think would make a great blog post) in the shower…of all places. After having a client conversation last week, I realized what you said is true. What’s old to me may be new to someone else. Passing along our knowledge in the form of blog posts is huge!! Thank you again for the great content. I’ve got my brainstorming cap on now 🙂

    Cheers!

    1. Hi Oriana! The shower isn’t just a great place to sing! One can come up with the best ideas in there. So happy to hear you’re thinking cap (or shower cap!) is on. Game time!

  3. Hello Reese,You are a great inspiration and I love reading your blog and newsletters. I just launched my site and I have written a few blogs, at first it was a bit difficult because I wasn’t sure of what to write, how to write it, was it going to be good enough etc. but the first one broke the ice and the next was a bit easier. Thanks for this article.

  4. Thanks Reese for a great post. You’ve given me some good ideas and I am now feeling much more inspired to consider blogging on my website. The information is provide is always invaluable! Thanks

  5. As much as it pains me to write, I’m going to do it. I know that it is a useful marketing tool. I am more of a domestic virtual assistant, so I am not going to write about computer subjects much, if at all. I am more interested in the giving women a helper, and men a platonic extra wife because let’s face it, men are usually helpless with everything but their career.

  6. Reese, your blog has literally become my VA bible. I love it so much. You have been such a great resource with trying to start my own VA business. Thank you for what you do!
