Did you know that you can use Pinterest to marketing your virtual assistant business?
Peg Fitzpatrick knows a lot about social media and Pinterest in general. Chek out her 12 Strategic Ways to Use Pinterest for Marketing post. Then read below and watch my super short training video to show you how to pull this all together.
In the video below I am going to show you how easy it is to leverage Pinterest to generate traffic back to your website. You don’t want to miss out on the traffic you can get from Pinterest. Research shows that Pinterest is the 3rd most popular social media network in terms of US traffic. More than that over 80% of all pins on Pinterest are re-pins. What does this mean? It means that if you are pinning unique content onto Pinterest you have a virtual army of people waiting to re-pin your content and get traffic back to your website.
In addition to marketing your business, you can also suggest to your clients that they too should maximize Pinterest as a way to get more exposure to their business. If you convince them that they need to pin their blog posts to Pinterest then you’ve just increased your billable hours! Cha-ching!
Let me know what you think of the video below by posting a comment. Have some great results? I want to know about that as well. Leave me a comment below detailing your exact results from this training video or email me directly. I may just highlight you and your business.

Thanks Reese – now I have learned something new! You are a good teacher!!
I try! Thanks, Lynne!
Hi Reese,
Excellent video on pinterest. I recently got started with pinterest and really didn’t have a clear direction as to what I was doing. I didn’t even know how to get the pin-it button saved on my tool bar. I had been pinning things from sites that already had the pin-it button on the site to re-pin. I will be using this more often now especially for pinning my blog postings. Thanks!
You’re going to have great fun marketing your VA biz on Pinterest, Geniece. It’s somewhat addicting. 🙂
Great info on using Pinterest. Will def be posting my blogs to my site. Thanks a bunch! 🙂
Awesome, Linda! Let me know about your results!
Thanks Reese, really informative and helpful.
You are welcome, Alix! By the way I just love how your name is spelled. 🙂
Thanks Reese for this video. One question. I want to use pinterest to post my business related blog but cant seem to find any categories that are business related. Is there a different version of pinterest that is geared to that? I noticed your category was “Online Business”.
Hi Peter, You saw the name of my board “Online Business” but that category for that board is labeled differently. Unfortunately, Pinterest does not have a business category (yet) so you have to do your best to categorize your blogs in an area that makes sense for maximum visibility. I have mine labeled under education but that might not be the best place. It may be better to categorize our posts under tech. Just thinking out loud here. Would love your feedback.
Reese I was doing some research and found this. http://business.pinterest.com/ . Thanks for replying btw.
Thanks so much for another really helpful video! It’s so appreciated. It’s a great idea too =)

Thanks for your great video Reese, I have not used Pinterest much but I may start now!
thanks so much for this information. I am going to get busy pinning my blogs!
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I have been using Pinterest for a while now and absolutely love it. I spend much more time with this social media outlet than I do with Facebook or LinkedIn. It is addicting. However, I had never thought about pinning my blogs, so after watching your video, I just went over and pinned one of mine. Super easy and I think it will generate feedback. Thank you again for taking your time to teach. it is greatly appreciated and looking forward to your next lesson.
Really great video, I have just started using Pinterest as a business tool and this video was very helpful. Thanks

Reese, I can’t pin this to my VA board…You should add a Pin It button. 🙂
Jan, you know something, you’re right! I’ll get on that. Thanks for giving me the push! XOXO
Hi Reese, I love it when videos are short, to the point, and have that organic feeling. This one was fabulous, as usual! It ties in nicely to a conversation I had yesterday with a client. It’s so nice to see how you’re demonstrating another great, organic business building action step. I’ve been pinning since early last year, but mostly on a personal level. Thank you for sharing this and giving me that nudge to start pinning more for my business and my clients. Cheers!
Oriana
Oriana, when I first started video blogging it felt stressed, un-organic and contrived. The more I video blogged, the easier it got. It’s important to remember to create the video as if it were being created for just one person.
Great video. I just got my new website up and running so I will be starting with that. Also, I like the idea that it is something we can offer our clients as well. I love all your info on becoming a successful VA. thanks!
Thank you!
Thanks Reese. I really enjoy Pinterest on other pins. So I will sign up and do whatever I have to do to direct traffic to my website
